10 Top Motocrossers: 2008 Suzuki RM-Z250
Suzuki's 2008 RM-Z250 isn't the fastest, but some prefer its ease-of-use.

The big RM-Z went over pretty well in this crowd, so we figured the RM-Z250 would be in the hunt, too. It was, especially for Cernicky.
"For me, the Suzuki was the least intimidating," he said. "It's not the fastest but that helps me do the most laps at my pace. Power comes on smooth and never has a big hit to get me all squirrelly when exiting corners with acceleration bumps."
Added Eastman, "Like its big brother, the RM-Z250 is super solid. I found, for the speeds I was riding, handling was very predictable with great feel at turn-in."
The RM-Z250 does handle well and is easy to ride. But neither the power nor the chassis stands out. So what we have is a capable bike that is also quite average. Because it doesn't do anything special, it slips through the cracks in this mix of bikes. It is, however, a machine that makes you feel as though you could ride it all day, and there is a lot to be said for that.
